The Student Leaders of the Year (SLOY) Fellowship Program is seeking students who demonstrate leadership of character—acting with courage, integrity, and humility. Ideal candidates are changemakers, creative thinkers, and community builders who show initiative, embrace a growth mindset, and inspire those around them. This program develops students with exceptional potential, not just extensive accomplishments.
Affiliate programs may nominate as many individuals as they like. Please note: nominees must not be current seniors, as the program runs from fall 2026 to spring 2027.
Time Commitment:
- Approximately 5-10 hours per semester for training and events.
- 10 hours of one-on-one dedicated coaching in the fall semester.
- Attendance is required at an overnight orientation the second weekend of the school year.
- Participation in the Changemaker's Challenge; a weekend-long social innovation activity in February.
