CESR is excited to announce that we will once again be accepting nominations for the Climate Curriculum Award in spring of 2026. This opportunity exists to encourage professors tointegrate climate and sustainability topics into business classes.It is made possible by a generous gift from theLeedsFamily Educational Legacy Fund.


2025 Climate Curriculum Award Winners:

  • Winner: Dejun “Tony” Kong - MBAX 6530/6531: Negotiating and Conflict Management, which incorporated sustainability and environmental justice throughout multiple simulations.
  • Finalist: Meghan Van Portfliet - BADM 1260: First-Year Global Experience in UK/Ireland, which made sustainability a core topic. Likewise, all of the business visits on the trip were sustainability themed.

2024 Climate Curriculum Award Winners:

  • Winners: Austin Moss, Andrea Pawliczek
  • Finalists: Asaf Bernstein, Sarah Cowan, Dejun 'Tony' Kong, Catherine Ruth Lau, Sabrina Volpone

AwardDetails:

  • The winner of this award will receive a $5,000 prize and up to five runners-up will receive $1,000 prizes.
  • Thepurposeof this award is to encourage and reward Leeds facultywhohave made a contribution to the integration ofclimate and sustainability topics into business courses.
    • Examples of integration might include new case studies, guest speakers, homework assignments, or in-class discussionsabout the implications of climate change for business, climate tech innovation, sustainability and AI, environmental justice, consumer trends related to environmental sustainability and equity, etc.
